It’s not a shame that photography is banned inside the palace. When you step away from the lens, because the whole building you’re in is a masterpiece, you get to reflect and be grateful that you have some place that you can call home and to be this proud of, too.
”oh look, more doggies. Oh look how they run and play together. Towards me. With teeth. What are they doing? OH HECK. WHAT ARE THEY DOING? Where are the Paraguayans?”
“Cake, cake, feed American girl, wet, cake” apparently doesn’t translate into Turkish very well.
Gratitude helped me on my tiny adventure and at the end of it I had a few cakes, cookies, and lots of happy.
A little scare on my morning run.
There are things that you think about before you get on a plane. Did leave any lights or electronics on? Will I get through TSA with my carry on? Did I remember my toothbrush from the sink? Do I have enough pictures of Ewan McGregor to sustain me through a 10 hour flight (Answer: Always NO)?
